Dr. Moore is a licensed psychologist in Portland, Oregon. Her clinical practice focuses on psychological evaluations for immigrants and adult psychotherapy with diverse populations. Dr. Moore earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Boston University and completed her clinical internship at Mass General Hospital. Through post-doctoral training she became a Qualified Forensic Psychologist in Massachusetts. She was a psychology instructor and clinical supervisor at Harvard Medical School for many years. She is past president of the Oregon Psychological Association.

Dr. Moore is fluent in Spanish and German and has pursued a long-standing career in cross- cultural psychology. In her psychotherapy and forensic psychology practice she works with adults struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and complex relationship issues. Immigration psychology is an additional area of expertise. She has conducted psychological evaluations for immigrants for many years and has expertise in the psychological documentation of the immigrant experience which becomes part of their legal case.

In addition to providing direct service, Dr. Moore is an educator, trainer and supervisor. These skills are integrated into her leadership of IMPACT Immigration where licensed mental health professionals learn to provide high quality psychological evaluations for immigration purposes. She provides ongoing consultation to clinicians involved in this work.

Dr. Moore’s unique understanding of the immigrant experience has also been an integral part her personal life. She has lived in other countries and is the daughter of a child refugee from WWII. This history combined with her expertise creates an integrated and passionate commitment to the work of immigration psychology through direct service and education. She is the founder and Executive Director of IMPACT™: Immigration Psychology Access Team, a non-profit organization that provides high quality psychological evaluations for low income immigrants.

Dr. Moore is the recipient of the 2021 Richard M. Ginsburg Outstanding Leadership for Immigration Rights Award.

Dr. Valdez is originally from the beautiful border city of El Paso, TX.  She completed her undergraduate education at Texas Tech University, and earned her master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Oregon. She has over 20 years clinical experience, including work in college mental health, physician/healthcare provider wellness, and trauma therapy.  For nearly a decade, Dr. Valdez has managed an independent practice where she offers immigration evaluation services.  She believes in the positive impact that this work has had on improving mental health and general wellness in families. In addition to providing our immigrant community with important services for immigration-based legal proceedings, these evaluations provide professional support and access to mental health referrals as needed.  At IMPACT, Dr. Valdez manages the training program, supports training clinicians, and consults and collaborates with legal and mental health professionals to advance understanding of this specialized work.

Dr. Beeghly received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Palo Alto University where she had an area of emphasis in diversity and community mental health and participated in cross-cultural research examining the intergenerational transmission of trauma. She completed her internship at Aurora Mental Health Center in Colorado where she had the opportunity to complete a rotation at the Colorado Refugee Wellness Center working with newly arrived refugees from all over the world.  Dr. Beeghly completed her post-doctoral residency at the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic with a training emphasis on health psychology and Latinx mental health.  Dr. Beeghly is fluent in Spanish and performs the majority of her clinical work in Spanish. She is currently an evaluator on the Impact™ team and provides consultation to Impact™ trainees. Dr. Beeghly leads the IMPACT N648 Training program to train clinicians in conducting medical disability waivers for the citizenship exam.

Dr. Yeo is from Singapore, and earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver. She is currently a licensed clinical psychologist based in Portland, OR. She is licensed in Oregon, Washington, and New York. She completed her APA-accredited doctoral internship with Community Reach Center, a community mental health center in Commerce City, CO; and a post-doctoral residency with Reed College Health and Counseling Center in Portland, OR. She has worked in many settings, including universities, community mental health centers, and residential facilities.

Presently, she offers psychological immigration-based evaluations in her independent practice since 2016. Her professional specialties include working with Asian American clients, racial and religious trauma, and LGBTQ+ and gender non-conforming clients. She provides evaluations from a Therapeutic Assessment focus, and brings this lens to the evaluations she provides. She is currently an evaluator on the Impact team, and provides supervision and consultation to Impact trainees.

Gabrielle Baker is a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field. She has a broad spectrum of expertise in evaluating and treating psychological conditions across various settings, including college mental health clinics, inpatient psychiatric units, emergency rooms, community-based behavioral health clinics, and primary care medical environments.

Driven by her passion for social justice, Ms. Baker’s interest in immigration work stems from her extensive travels and her fundamental belief in the importance of open borders. She is deeply committed to supporting immigrant communities and approaches her work from a place of empathic understanding and cultural curiosity. She excels in building strong therapeutic alliances with her clients, and creation of safe and supportive environments for healing.

During her time with IMPACT, she has made significant contributions by initiating and participating in child immigration evaluations, supervising new evaluators, and continuing to provide quality, balanced psychological assessments.

Dr. Sengkhammee is a licensed psychologist in private practice. She earned her master’s and Ph.D. (2013) in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Madison, where her training emphasized cultural competence in the research and practice of psychology. She specializes in working with racially and culturally diverse clients. She provides immigration psychological evaluations, diversity consultation/supervision, private practice consulting, and psychotherapy. She approaches her work from a culturally-oriented, mind-body, and trauma-informed lens.

Dr. Sengkhammee is the daughter of Hmong refugees who fled their homeland following the Secret War in Laos in the late 1970’s. She grew up in the Midwest and transplanted to Portland for 9 years before returning to the Midwest. Her personal life experiences enrich her understanding of the life experiences of immigrants and refugees. She maintains an Oregon license and conducts all evaluations with IMPACT are via telehealth.

Dr. Villegas-Gutiérrez became licensed by the Oregon Board of Psychologists in 2009.

She has provided therapy and psychological evaluation services to a wide age range of clients. Her main area of expertise is in bilingual/multicultural assessment, and she has extensive experience completing developmental disability evaluations in her private practice. She also provides bilingual evaluation training, consultation and supervision services.

Additionally, Dr. Villegas-Gutiérrez has extensive experience completing psychological evaluations for different immigration procedures since 2015. She has been an active member of IMPACT immigration Nonprofit since 2019. Dr. Villegas-Gutierrez’ mission is to provide her culturally and linguistically diverse clients with trauma-informed culturally and linguistically responsive immigration evaluation services.

Dr. Villegas-Gutierrez earned her Specialist Degree in Education in 1999 and her Ph.D. (2003) in School Psychology from the University of Iowa. She completed a predoctoral training in School Psychology within the Dallas School District specializing in bilingual/multilingual evaluation services.

Dr. Villegas-Gutiérrez immigrated legally from Mexico with her family which then included 9 children and her parents in 1982. She attended junior high and high school and undergraduate school in California. She moved to Iowa City, Iowa to complete her doctorate program. Due to both her personal immigration experience and professional background, she envisions that her evaluation services will provide her clients with the documentation needed to facilitate their legal immigration procedures.

Dr. Hurwich-Reiss is a clinical psychologist with experience providing evidence-based treatment and evaluations to children, adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds who have experienced high levels of trauma and adversity.  She provides consultation and training to mental health providers and trainees.  Dr. Hurwich-Reiss has worked in children’s hospitals and academic research centers. She currently provides treatment and evaluations in Spanish and English through her independent practice.  Dr. Hurwich-Reiss is passionate about providing culturally sensitive care to immigrant families.  She sees the positive impact that immigration evaluations can have on keeping families together, allowing individuals to tell their trauma stories, and connecting individuals to mental health services.

Dr. Hurwich-Reiss earned her doctoral degree at University of Denver in Clinical Psychology and specialized in children, adolescents and their caregivers. She completed her internship at the University of California, San Diego/Veterans Affairs Psychology Internship, and her postdoctoral fellowship with the University of California San Diego Department of Psychiatry and the Child and Adolescent Services Research Center.  Dr. Hurwich-Reiss has been trained in Immigration Psychological Evaluations through the IMPACT™ program. She participates in the child immigration evaluation program at IMPACT.

Erin Winn Oliva is a bilingual (Spanish-English) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon. She has been performing psychological evaluations for immigration cases since 2016. She earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from Portland State University and her Bachelors Degree in Spanish from the University of Washington. Before becoming a social worker she was a legal assistant at a top immigration law firm in Portland, where she gained extensive knowledge of immigration legal processes. She has worked as a therapist with adults, couples, and families experiencing severe mental illness, addiction, and houselessness. She has experience as a medical social worker in the field of perinatal health. Ms. Winn Oliva believes in the healing power of sharing one’s personal story in a safe, confidential space, and strives to make the evaluation process an empowering experience for her clients. She approaches her work with clients through a trauma-informed perspective. In addition to performing psychological evaluations, Ms. Winn Oliva also organizes internal training for the IMPACT team.

Ms. Bivona is a licensed independent clinical social worker in private practice. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Chicago in 2007. Her experience has been in culturally and racially diverse communities in settings such as domestic violence and sexual assault survivor services, community mental health, addiction, corrections, and healthcare.

Ms. Bivona is 3rd generation Mexican American on her father’s side and is motivated to do this work by the story of her great-grandparents who left Mexico and crossed the Rio Grande to seek safety and opportunity. She conducts evaluations with cultural attunement, curiosity, and with a trauma-informed lens. 

Currently, she conducts evaluations in both Washington and Oregon with interpreters. She is passionate about the effective use of interpreters for providing access to Immigration Evaluations. In addition to psychological evaluations, she leads outreach efforts in SW Washington for the IMPACT organization.

With a M.S Degree from Northwestern University in Marriage and Family Therapy, May enjoys assisting individuals and families in their immigration journey in a way that feels safe and effective.

May understands that each of us has a unique story—one that shapes who we are, what family means to us, and our reasons for being here. As a therapist with visible and invisible social-cultural identities, May approaches each encounter with openness and cultural humility, striving to be her client’s voice to tell the human story in an accurate and heartfelt way.

May provides immigration psychological evaluations in both English and Mandarin for those seeking a hardship waiver, U-visa, T visa, VAWA and Asylum. She collaborates with each client’s legal team and is an active team member of IMPACT Immigration.

Skyelar Willis is a bilingual (Spanish and English) psychotherapist licensed in Oregon and California. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Studies with a minor in Spanish from Portland State University. She then earned her Master’s in Social Work at Portland State University. Skyelar then became a child and family therapist providing mental health assessment and treatment to families and children impacted by immigration trauma in Oakland, California. She returned to Portland, Oregon, where she transitioned to a role as a Mental Health Consultant for Portland Public Schools and began training on immigration evaluations with IMPACT. Skyelar has experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families as they process immigration trauma and tell their stories.

Zaida Gomez is a bilingual (Spanish) and bicultural Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Portland, OR. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s in Marriage, Couple and Family Therapy from University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2017. Zaida has provided therapy to individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, relational/family issues, grief and gambling addiction. Now in private practice, she focuses on providing culturally-responsive therapy to Latinx and adult children of immigrants. As a daughter of immigrants herself, Zaida has a special interest in providing immigration evaluations to support families through their immigration process. She is committed to providing culturally and linguistically responsive therapy and immigration evaluations.
